Graduation and Spring Break

We graduated our first course of students last Thursday with a meal and a ceremony. They were a very pleasant group who warmed our hearts and raised our spirits. The University of Bedfordshire is also taking a three week break after graduation and so the chaplaincy will be closed. This gives us some free time to catch up on chores (taxes etc), take a few short trips to explore the surrounding villages and perhaps a trip to London.

Booklet

We've added a booklet to the "Songs and Things" page. It's a companion for the Breakfast Song, complete with coloring pages. We hope it will inspire some little ones to prayer. Special thanks to Susan Clark for the artwork and to Betsy English who edited the text.

God's Beauty is Everywhere

Wardown Park
We are back in Luton now, sending off our one month school for a week in Birmingham, and enjoying our friends and team. Our neighbor from Texas, Andy, also dropped in to pay us a visit. The weather has really warmed and the early blooming trees are now in full burst.

Coaching the Isle

Seaside town of Ventnor

Traveler Wagons
Barb booked a coach trip for my birthday and we have been coaching the Isle of Wight for the last few days. Though we had a few friends snickering, we have found it a good way to explore the Island. It was raining the day we traveled but has been mostly sunny since so we have enjoyed our outdoor experiences. The water and beach are like a magnet drawing me to the shores.

Sticking Board

Sticker Special

Bday Cards

Yes that's Chester the Cat on the Left
We found this great stuff called "sticking stuff" that you put on the wall without anything and then you stick things to it without anything. It's great for posting grandchildren's current or special artwork. At the moment it's filled with birthday cards for as you know today is St. Patrick's Day.

Snow Day!

Munitions

I returned from Jordan on Friday after a very powerful week with the school there. The Spirit was moving.Today we woke to about 6 inches of snow and since the streets were covered, we walked to the park to get a good dose of fresh morning snow before the crowds packed it down. We sat with a snow friend who was enjoying the morning and then went to visit the ducks and geese at the pond. Later our friend Jackie came by with the boys and it was just what I had been hoping for. I was aching for a snowball fight and these young lads were just the ticket. We built forts, stored our munitions and then proceeded to blast each other! Barb had hot chocolate and cheese toasties waiting for us at the house. Now that is a snow day!
