Summer Time in the UK

We have had our last "Big Brunch" for university students and those camping under bridges for the summer. The chaplaincy will close down except for base camp meetings until late August and so our falafel and pancake days were mostly ourselves. Not bad as we had time to watch the history of the Salvation Army while waiting for customers.

We have finished the first week of our July BDS school and are excited about the students, the partnership, and the location. With the World Cup going on it makes for lively national emotions!

Sunshine in Seattle

We are getting sunburned in Seattle this week visiting Andy and Sarah and the three little kids along with the Wargos and Waldmans. We only have a few days together so we are making the most of the time and the weekend.

Visiting Texas

Thanks to Bryan and Michelle and Titus for hosting us before we zip off to Illinois to see dad and then out to Seattle to visit Andy and family. We had some great family fun together including playing music with Bryan, hanging out with Michelle and off course backyard and outdoor fun like stump jumping with Titus!

St Albans and Other Fun

Betsy, Wes, and the kidoes came up for a weekend visit to "88". We checked out St. Albans one day, gave Wes a shot at Squash, visited the Nasa Space Photos exhibit, and generally ate a lot of good food! Some weekend photos follow:

Walking and Talking

Barb and I with friends from the Uni
These last few days we've been taking in the countryside. We walked along the Grand Union on Saturday and then today we went in search of the fading bluebells. The wood behind the Oval is a wonderful spot for birds and squirrels and for a brief season, the bluebells!

A Day in the Maze

On Monday our Bridge Team traveled to Shefford to have a picnic at a maze, and enjoy games and fun together for the day.
